Why I Chose This Topic:
Last year, i was so mesmerized that a young girl my age was involved in making the world a better place one girl at a time. I did not know that the same young girl, Malala Yousafazi, was going to be the greatest influence on education for women and young children. i decided to do my own research and began to follow the I Am Malala blog that updated on Malala's courage to change the education role that was perceived to be only dominated by males. Malala's influence was very interesting and i wanted to learn more. I wanted to let others know that education is not a privilege, but its a right among every human being.
How I Conducted My Research:
First i went on the internet at school. i consulted a couple of my friends about the story of Malala and went to my local library and began to research more about Malala. I started to follow a blog that enables people to get more enthused and involved in the Malala project. I outlined all of my information and organized them on a paper and took notes on the biography and story of Malala. i watched nearly all of the interviews and read all of the articles involving Malala. I started to annotate my bibliography and started on my website. i wanted to create a website because almost every one uses a computer or phone on a regular basis.
How i Created and Developed My Website:
I created an outline that marked the important events that enabled Malala to become the most influential person in Times 100 influential people. I picked the theme of my website, but it was not easy. I had to experiment with different themes in order to see which one fits my topic. I did everything as a draft and edited the layout of my website so i can thoroughly convey my topic to readers and meet the criteria of NHD. I practiced my oral presentation and finally published my website for other to get influenced by Malala's story.
How My Website Relates To the Theme:
My website relates to the theme in several ways. My project not only focuses on Malala's story, but the rights and responsibilities of being educated in today's society. The rights of being educated are made for every human being and the responsibility of education involves Government, Politics, and influencing the future generations to come. If Malala was not courageous and brave to stand against girls rights in education, girls in the Middle East and around the globe would be forced to be deprived of the one thing that allows them to be free: Education!
